We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. — Aristotle
If excellence can be a habit, what about thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving shouldn’t only be a festival, but also should be a mindset, a lifestyle, and an attitude. We can learn this from the Scriptures:
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ( 1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:17)
Still, I am so thankful for such a wonderful Thanksgiving at my aunt’s house. I had a great time with my families, who are my blessings from God. We had hot pot for dinner, sang “You raise me up,” and watched football, sitting together in a cozy sofa. The human interaction and love expressed through conversations and touch filled me with joy and thankfulness. Praise God for His love! Thank Him for His creation of family!
